Attendees of the 34th Annual A Taste of Colorado, produced by Downtown Denver Partnership, will be treated to the energetic stage presence of multi-talented singer, songwriter, and performer Lauren Duski. The rising country-pop star will perform on the Main Stage, presented by 98.5 KYGO, on Monday, Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. The free admission, four-day festival is known for its global cuisine and variety of musicians and performers, and will take place over Labor Day weekend Sept. 1-4 in Downtown Denver’s Civic Center Park.
Duski is widely known for her appearance as the runner-up on NBC’s hit singing competition, “The Voice,” where she placed in the top two with the help and guidance of country star and coach, Blake Shelton. Sticking to her country roots, Duski packed her bags and moved to Nashville, the heart of country, to fully pursue her lifelong dream. Since her popularity on Season 12 of “The Voice,” Duski has been pushing forward with her debut song, “Déjà vu,” which she wrote weeks before the show and performed on the season’s finale. Duski has made her way into the Top 20 of Billboard’s list of the Artist 100.
No stranger to a large audience, Duski began her career at age seven, touring across her home state of Michigan performing classic country hits. She started writing her own songs in middle school after receiving her first guitar. The all-American beauty began posting videos of her original songs on YouTube, which gained her a following. Her newfound path to fame led her to tour Northern Michigan with a local group, JR Country Band. The group opened for big name acts such as Lonestar and Randy Travis. She also sang background vocals for a Michigan-based country band, The Mercy Wheel. She’s featured on a song called “Easy” from the group’s 2014 album titled, “29.”
Charismatic and dream-driven, 26-year-old Duski’s silky, bold, and twangy country pipes are sure to be a big hit with fans at A Taste of Colorado.
